For the third year in a row, Armor attended the 3D Print Congress & Exhibition in Lyon. The company took advantage of the event to present its 360° offering named Kimya, notably its bespoke materials solutions. Over 250 exhibitors and 6,000 participants visitors attended the event for discussions about additive manufacturing and to discover the latest innovations in the sector.

Kimya is the new brand of the Armor group dedicated to 3D printing. It was presented to all the visitors who once again turned out in record numbers at 3D Print in Lyon. The additive manufacturing market is becoming increasingly professionalised with more and more manufacturers seeking a solution adapted to their particular requirements. Bertrand Pesneau, Webmarketing & E-commerce Manager at Kimya, explains: “We have to deal with experts seeking tangible solutions adapted to their day-to-day needs. We are developing in full alignment with such requirements and are delighted to be able to offer bespoke solutions.”

Visits at our stand

On site, the Kimya team established numerous qualified contacts expressing a keen interest in the materials we are developing. Furthermore, we also got the sense of genuine complementarity between the different operators at the show, bringing together their expertise and concentrating on the importance of materials to meet the demands of manufacturers who had come to find concrete solutions. Encouraging feedback that only supports our development path!

We received numerous visitors at the Kimya stand from a wide variety of sectors. We therefore met professionals from the world of transport (automotive, rail and aviation) and also from the luxury goods sector. Most of them are seeking a high-quality printing material that meets very specific demands and certifications. For example, some of them require a filament that can come into contact with food, or which offers smoke resistance. Kimya Lab provides the solution through materials with a 100% bespoke design from a dedicated technical team.

Finally, our third participation at 3D Print Lyon was marked by the presence of our management team at the stand. The CEO of the Armor group, Hubert de Boisredon, came to underline the importance of the 3D printing business for the French group and met up with Kimya’s key partners and operators during the show.
