Discover our new materials at Formnext 2019!
For the 2nd consecutive year, Armor 3D will be exhibiting at Formnext, the international event for professionals in the additive manufacturing sector. On November 19-22 in Frankfurt, our teams will be presenting the Kimya Factory, a production service for parts in small runs offering value-in-use in all industries, manufactured using our materials. The event will also offer an opportunity to revisit the properties of our PEKK-A filament launched in 2018. Two new materials will also be presented: the PEBA-S Kimya and ABS-ESD Kimya. You can meet us at Stand B81 in Hall 12.1.
Formnext is without doubt the best-known exhibition in the additive manufacturing market. Indeed, it brings together printer manufacturers, materials, post-treatment systems, service providers, etc. For Armor 3D, it is an opportunity to demonstrate our 3D printing expertise in a market enjoying very high demand for industrial solutions. Pierre-Antoine Pluvinage, Business Development Director at Kimya – Additive Manufacturing by ARMOR, explains: “Formnext is an ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate that we are a central player among those taking additive manufacturing forward. We genuinely wish to meet industrial operators requiring complete solution for their needs, far beyond simple prototyping. We can offer them production solutions for finished parts. »
This second participation provides the showcase to officially present the Kimya Factory, a production solution for parts in small runs designed for all industrial operators. It builds on the success of the Kimya Lab dedicated to developing bespoke materials that meet the needs of demanding sectors, such as aeronautics and marine. The Kimya Factory offers a response to all professionals who are not always able to incorporate production within their company but require parts of high quality, designed using high-quality materials.

At our stand you will also be able to find out about our PEKK-A, launched in 2018 in collaboration with our partner Arkema. Since, it is a thermoplastic offering high levels of resistance to abrasion, chemicals and temperatures up to 150°C. It also offers very good electrical insulation properties. It is approved for use in high-performance machines manufactured by AON3D, miniFactory, 3DGence and 3NTR. This filament is highly prized in the rail, automotive and aeronautics sectors.
Two new materials will also be making their entrance at the exhibition. First, the PEBA-S, a flexible elastomer ideal for applications requiring low weight, flexibility and cold-state properties. It has also been designed in collaboration with Arkema. And the ABS-ESD, a classic rigid ABS with incorporated additives to provide protection against electrostatic discharge.
